North Dakota Home and Community-Based Long-Term Care: An AARP Survey

AARP MEMBER OPINION RESEARCH: As the state charts the future course of long-term care services in its communities, this survey was undertaken to add a consumer perspective, and provide data about the needs and priorities for long-term care services of AARP members in North Dakota.
While well over half of those surveyed feel that long-term care services would be available to them if needed within a reasonable distance from their homes, the vast majority questions whether these services would be affordable. Most want to remain in their own homes as long as possible, even if it means contributing more to the cost of care, and feel that ensuring a broad range of long-term care options should be a clear priority for AARP.
