Maxim Shvedov works on tax and budget issues as a member of PPI's Economics Team. Prior to joining AARP, Max served at the Congressional Research Service specializing in economic analysis of tax policy. He wrote reports and briefed members of Congress on a variety of tax topics, designed and used individual income tax simulation models, and assisted congressional staff throughout the legislative process.
He also worked as a senior economist at the Policy Development office of the Virginia Department of Taxation. He holds a master's degree in economics and finance from Binghamton University of New York and bachelor's degree from Florida International University in Miami, Fla.
