February 2008— More than seven in ten residents of Westchester County, New York, rate their community as excellent (14%), very good (26%), or good (31%), according to a recent telephone survey of 800 residents ages 50+. November 2007— Most boomer women have had conversations with their parents about their ability to live independently as they get older, but less than half have actually begun planning for care their parents might need.
