This telephone survey was conducted on behalf of AARP in Alabama, California, Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania to explore the purchase of preneed funeral and burial arrangements by Americans 50 and older. Four main areas were explored: 1) the rate of solicitation, 2) the rate of purchase, 3) the types of goods and services purchased, and 4) the method of payment.
