    Terminal patients and their families face many hard decisions. However, hospice care offers relief for the dying by providing a medically trained caregiver to the patient.

    Furthermore, according to experts Joanne Lynn and Eleanor Clift, a hospice caregiver can help preserve a dying patient’s sense of dignity by creating a supportive environment for all involved.

    Modern hospice care can prolong life, making it more comfortable for a patient in their last days while encouraging people to have a more meaningful time with family and friends. Lynn also says, although it can be more responsibility for the family, hospice care has become accepted by many, including health care institutions like Medicare.”
