Iraq Vets - RADIO

Cynthia Lefever cares for her son Rory Dunn after he was wounded in Iraq. — Erika Larsen

Severely wounded Iraq veterans and their families discuss living with the aftermath of war. The sacrifices of the families, especially mothers who give up jobs and spend endless hours at their sons' and daughters' bedsides, are highlighted.

This documentary was first broadcast on Memorial Day, 2008, before the effects of traumatic brain injury were as widely known as they are today.

Barry Yeoman reports, based on his investigation for AARP The Magazine.
