AARP Utah is reaching out to our 220,000 members through our key volunteer leaders in the state. Area Coordinators play a key role in extending the benefits, educational opportunities and legislative expertise of AARP to all corners of Utah. Each of these individuals serve as liaison from their area of residence in the state, and provide a sweeping view of the interests and concerns of their constituents to AARP Utah's planning and direction.
Area coordinators represent the people from their geographic area of the state. They identify areas of concern that can be addressed by the statewide organization. Equally as important, they bring AARP's wealth of resources and knowledge to their communities through public seminars, by addressing civic groups and through the AARP Utah Consumer University.
AARP is the world's foremost leader on aging and offers a wealth of information on economic security, health and supportive services, livable communities and social impacts. Programs are available for presentation to civic and community groups on subjects such as Social Security, Identity Theft and Mortgage Fraud, Physical and Brain Fitness and Medicare Part D.
For more info, contact your local Area Coordinator or email the AARP Utah State office.
