AARP - Iowa Divided We Fail Survey

Divided We Fail
Support among Iowa registered Democrats and Republicans for the basic economic security and health care principles of Divided We Fail is explored in this March 2007 survey of 400 Iowa residents registered to vote as either Democrats or Republicans.

Of those surveyed...

  • 77 percent strongly support the idea that health care is a basic necessity that Americans should be able to get when they need it.
  • 74 percent strongly support a long-term care system that is affordable and doesn't require spending all that you have.
  • 63 percent strongly support strengthening laws against age discrimination.

Commissioned by AARP Iowa, this survey of 400 registered Iowa Democrats or Republicans was conducted for AARP by Alan Newman Research, Inc. from March 21 thru 23, 2007. For more information about this survey, contact Erica Dinger of AARP Knowledge Management at 202-434-6176.
