Older voters matched expectations and turned out in large numbers across the country for the 2010 midterm elections. Voters age 50+ provided nearly six of every 10 votes, two years after casting a bit more than 40 percent of ballots in the presidential race that saw younger voters turning out in record numbers. Voters 65+ cast about a quarter of all ballots on Nov. 2, the highest percentage since 1994.
