Sweden's progressive stance on social security

Swedish Minister of Social Security, Health and Social Affairs, Ulf Kristersson speaks about how Sweden is learning from the world while also setting an example with their healthcare system.

Kristersson believes that national healthcare is a constitutional right. It is a system, which is a mix of public and privatized providers that work together under federal guidelines to provide coverage for all citizens regardless of age.

Although Sweden is a relatively small country, it is doing its best to support a population in which a growing percentage are retiring or entering encore careers. Because of this, there is no longer a fixed retirement age. This allows for a more flexible financial retirement plan that allows older citizens that are able to work as long as possible.
