Study finds most autism resources are focused on kids

A report by the Advancing Futures for Adults with Autism Consortium found that about 80 percent of the 1.5 million Americans diagnosed with autism are under the age of 22.

Not surprisingly, most autism research, attention and resources are focused on kids instead of adults. Each year, more people with autism exit high schools and find far fewer resources and support.  Shia Levitt looked at some of the challenges facing young adults with autism who are hoping to transition from high school to the work world.
