For 15 years, Greg Mortenson has devoted himself to helping some of the regions that constitute major front lines in the war on terror.
By 2007, Mortenson had financed more than 61 schools in volatile, rural regions of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
His actions now provide education to more than 25,000 children, including about 14,000 girls, who had few if any educational opportunities before his arrival.
