Willis Crenshaw spent seven years of the 1960s on the football field...dodging tackles as a running back for the St. Louis Cardinals and the Denver Broncos. Between seasons, Crenshaw worked as a financial advisor, a profession he still excels in today. "I always realized that football was not going to be a lifetime thing for me...I really felt that I had another option," says Crenshaw.
From football to finance, Crenshaw reinvented himself and for more than 30 years has been a Manhattan-based financial planner. It's a very different playing field, one where he advises clients on long-term financial planning and manages their investments. My Generation steps into the huddle with this football player turned financier to see how life has turned out for this multi-talented game-changer.
