In his book, Finally Out: Letting Go of Living Straight, Dr. Olson gives a moving account of his own difficult story. But he also explores the psychological reasons that some gay men chose to marry, have a family and live, for all practical purposes, a straight life. For Dr. Olson, a burden lifted when he finally was free to live as a gay man. "I felt like I'd come home," he says.
