In Response to Plateu by sthompson62
Many of us have been at plateaus and it is frustrating. Consider how long it has been. Sometimes we do get into a holding pattern where we don't drop weight but we drop inches.
1. Reassess the food journal. Many times there are hidden calories we are not counting. Labels we read are often not accurate with their calories counts so we may be off. Also we may have gotten in a food rut, eating the same foods every day. Same thing for breakfast and lunch. We need to change things up a bit and give our bodies a change. Look at the types of foods you are eating. The amount of protein, carbohydrates, fats you are getting. Your meal frequency. Increasing how many times a day you eat has been known to increase metabolism. That is meals with snacks. Study your food journal and see what you can change up.
2. Same thing with exercise. We need to change our exercise routine. This may mean changing our routine may increasing resistance we use, increasing minutes, or just changing the type of exercise we are doing.
3. Hang in there and stay positive. It takes time for a change. A bump in the road is all this is and in time you will get past this. Good luck
