I have several favorites but two that stand out are "Christmas in Connecticut " and "National Lampoon' s Christmas". "Christmas in Connecticut" was a funny movie in a way that was heartwarming. I also had a huge crush on Barbara Stanwyck. I sometimes wish I had been an adult in her times, but then I realize that I probably wouldn't have measured up to Robert Taylor.
'National Lampoon' s Christmas" I will never forget because I saw it with my son. We both laughed the whole time. I laughed partly because I though the movie was funny, and also because of my son's infectious laughter. He was ten at the time . His laugh was still childlike. His face was lit up. He was truly enjoying just being a ten year old and laughing from pure pleasure. I know that it is a stronger memory for me than it is for him. When I see or talk to him now I just can't believe he was once ten years old! I had Thanksgiving Dinner with some friends once. It was their tradition to watch "National Lampoon' s Christmas" every Thanksgiving. I enjoyed watching it as much as they did, but for different reasons.
