Please don't apologize! There is a difference between being negative and telling the facts. One of the things I have come to dislike are all the flowery things written about caregiving...at least the ones I have read regarding dementia, like 'make them a memory book'...not that that isn't a good thing but there is a certain reality to that. For example, with a memory book...do you want to repeat the same names day after day when the person your caring for doesn't remember? and at some point doesn't care? Sounds harse, but they are realities we must prepare for. To me knowing truths are far easier to deal with once they are looking you in the eyes.
