I'm far from being an annuities expert, but here's what I think. An index annuity can be a fixed index annuity, an equity indexed annuity or maybe something else. A fixed index annuity credits interest to your account at a rate set by the insurance company. Equity indexed annuities credit interest based on a formula based on changes- like the changes in the S&P 500 or Dow Jones average. I think that most of the "educationa" dinner seminars are really trying to sell a equity indexed annuity but I could be wrong.
Yep, the meal was yummy!!!!!!!!!!!!
