As far as I know only loans are available.
Have had friends and wife deployed after 9/11 and they were only allowed the promise of a job when they returned. The ones that had their own businesses had the slack taken up by friends and relatives - while they were deployed - so, they could continue to remain afloat while away,
Now don't get me started off on a rant about how some had to fight to get back their jobs - after (the Powers) tried to fire them from their positions (too many peace and love hippies in power). And the military couldn't ensure the return to their primary position - seems if you work for the state or local government, you're not always guaranteed your return to former position, payscale, etc.
Friends and relatives - might be able to pick up your son's slack, and keep the business afloat and still functioning through his and his partner's deployment. Sorry for the rant it still gripes my posterior.
I know. Some how it just doesn't seem fair. You go off to preserve the freedom we all enjoy and then those who stayed home and are making money, make it hard on those who left. I always try to think, that in the end there is a greater reward for serving the common good instead of yourself.
I'll pass on your support and advice.
Thank you and God Bless,
