The people who run AARP are frauds. All they are interested in is collecting salaries and selling the old folks down the river. The Dems cut medicare by $500 billion and the frauds at AARP applaud it. Wake up! The leadership of this organization could care less about you. This year I'm cutting my card up and mailing it back to these bums. They truly believe by giving their membership 5% discounts at Motel 6 the dopes who belong to this organization will keep sending their dues in.
You are right about one thing, money is in the driver's seat.
Healthcare costs are sky rocketing. Everyone in the field of healthcare is charging top dollar and passing you on to other providers for further assessment and treatment. It is unreal. To make it worse the insurance company's profit margins are declinig as a result of cost, so, they increase rates. Some (often seniors) can't afford to pay and have to drop their insurance. Those companies lose clients, they raise prices to offset losses and the whole mess spirals out of control. The AARP does not have anything close to the kind of resources it would take to solve the problems. You should definitely stop paying your !$12.50 dues annually for yourself and your spouse. That will teach AARP a lesson. It's just a good thing we (We members are the AARP) have all those sponsors to pay the cost of driving healthcare reform.
Yes money is the problem, but there is one way we may be able to solve the problem. It's called healthcare reform. Wake up! Big money interests are in the driver's seat. When they don't make enough money they raise the prices and we pay increased rates. They drive, we pay for the gas.
AARP is not to be blamed for this mess. We, you and I, (the AARP) are the one hope we have to turn things back around. Let's do it!
Remember when reduced sells meant lower prices?
