Your responses were very interesting to read!! It's a whole other life than what I know of as having always been a city gal!!! And since I never read any of Kingsolver's books, I wasn't aware of her philosophy until I went over the review this past weekend and chose her book as one to feature. Quite a different life!!
What does CSA and CSS stand for??
I went into your profile to see where you are located because I wondered where you could never get citrus fruit. Of course being in Central Florida I'm used to having it, and many of my neighbors even have orange and grapefruit trees and share their fruit during the season!!!
I see you are a self-employed attorney. I was a Legal Assistant for most of my working life (and always loved the law) and finally retired last year. I still maintain my own part-time Resume and Secretarial Service.
Hi Jackie --
CSA is community supported agriculture. CSS was a misclick of CSA. There are several CSA groups around Nashville. I am a city girl too, but lived on a farm for a little while early in my first marriage. It was a total fiasco! I do grow some herbs now, otherwise just flowers.
I represent Social Security disability applicants -- a rewarding but often frustrating way to make a living. I went to law school at age around 40 and began practicing law in 1992. My second career has now been as long as the first and I am ready to retire. However, it looks as though that will never happen.
