I just clicked on the link to your post and it took me to Edie's post to me which was a day after yours. This board drives me nuts sometimes. How is it that your post only says aberlaine said instead of aberlaine said to bonjovi or someone else? Did you do something different? In order to find your post I clicked on back to all topics and went in again and I still ended up at Edie's post. Then I clicked on previous below the original post and had to hunt through all of them until I found yours. Well, I'm glad I found you.
How is your cough? I hope you're doing better by now. I love those Hall's cough drops especially the menthol ones. I inhale and they make your throat feel so good.
It's too bad that you didn't get to go to your book group but at least you were able to give your opinion. Your new book sounds like a very interesting read. I hope you enjoy it. I haven't picked up a new book as yet because I've just been too busy with laundry, cleaning, answering messages, my block watch, Easter and shoveling. You might have heard that we got 14 inches of snow last Friday in my area. Spring just doesn't want to arrive here in Wisconsin. I went to 1/2 price and bought 11 new books yesterday. You can read my list on my post to Edie.
Have a good day and enjoy "The Concubine's Children".
The reason my message didn't say "reply to" anyone, was because I chose "all" as the person to send it to. I wasn't really replying to anyone. I sure hope some administrator is reading our comments and will report to some techie that we HATE the spell checker and wish we had the numbered messages again. But, maybe those are things they can't change about this site. I'm sure after a while, we'll be ignoring the yellow boxes.
My cough is getting a bit better. My doctor gave me a great cough medicine, but the pharmacy could only get half of what he prescribed. Apparently, the manufacturer is no longer making that generic - probably wasn't making enough money from it. So I have a call into my doctor to get another cough medicine. I use it only at night so I can get some sleep. I hope he calls back soon. I don't mind using the Halls cough drops during the day, but at night I fall asleep with one in my mouth and wake up to find my mouth tasting horrible!
Fourteen inches of snow!! I'd hate that. At least we haven't seen any snow in the past week or so. I don't mind the cold, but I don't want any more snow! I've already seen my first two robins, noticed that the ice cream stores are opening, am waiting to see our tulips peek up from the ground and am watching our forsythia bushes for buds. I know our region can have snow through Memorial Day, but it's hard to take this late in the year.
I've been so busy with our TOPS installation and filling blood drive vacancies that I haven't started reading my book yet. I am plowing through 3rd Degree pretty quickly. With large print and short chapters, it's been pretty easy to read. A friend of mine is giving me copies of her Reader's Digests, and I'm trying to keep current with those. I'm not doing very well since I'm almost finished with the November issue.
