Is this your daughter in Arkansas who will be benifiting from your gifts of books?
No more fear of forest fires here for a few days. It rained all day yesterday, hard, and overnight with thunder and is still pretty wet outside.
No, I'm not the one with a daughter in Arkansas. Mine is in Denver. We subscribe to several magazines together and each month we each send a package to the other with those and other assorted things. This month I have some paperbacks I'm through with, plus some books for my three-year old granddaughter, who is the only one left in the family to benefit from them. The family won't be here till Christmas, so the books aren't being used here. Some of them have been used by three kids before her!
Our weather is back to normal, in the mid-sixties and overcast, and the fire is about out so the crisis is over.
I finished the Spencer book and am concentrating on the White City. I'll probably intersperse a Stuart Woods book (Stone Barrington series) with it.
I was given a B&N gift card over the weekend so I was able to buy some new books, something I don't usually do.
