Yesterday and the day before were bummers for the Red Sox. If they lose today's game against the St. Louis Cardinals, they will have lost a series sweep against St.Louis. But worst of all, if Tampa Bay wins today and we lose, our standings will switch and the Red Sox will be one game behind Tampa in the eastern AL. Drats!
I leave for Niagara Falls this Friday as early as I can get myself out the door and should be in Niagara Falls 9 to 10 hours and tons of gas money later.
Looks like your Red Sox were able to keep the Cardinals at bay and maintain their lead over Tampa Bay. Last night our Brewers won. Ben Sheets who is one of our star pitchers had a complete game which is his first in a long time.
I know you are looking forward to your trip. That's a lot of driving. Are you doing it all in one day? Too bad you didn't have someone to share driving and gas with. Hope your books on tape are enough to keep you awake. Take your time and be safe.
Went to 1/2 Price Books last Sat. and sold some books and movies. I got $26.25 and spent $24.00. Found a lot of books on my list for $1.00 each and a couple of others that weren't.
Heres what I got:
Jonathan Kellerman: Gone, Monster, and A Cold Heart
Faye Kellerman: Prayers For The Dead
James Patterson: Roses Are Red, and Kiss the Girls
Jeffrey Deaver: The Cold Moon and Speaking in Tongues
Elizabeth Berg: Say When
Anne Perry: Pentecost Alley
Barbara Delinsky: The Woman Next Door
Donald McCaig: Rhett Butler's People
A. Manette Ansay: Midnight Champagne
Nora Ephron: I Feel Bad About My Neck and other Thoughts on Being a Woman
I also got a picture book called "Faces of Manassas". I like books on the civil war. Got a book called "21st Century Dog" and two books with personalized stories and scriptures called "Hugs for the Holidays" and "Hugs for Friends".
Bought four more bookmarks too.
