I think I read something by Gwen Bristow long ago and liked her writing, so I will certainly look in Netflix for "Tomorrow is Forever", especially if it is a love story (is it?) and a good one (must be if you recommend it!!)
My friend Joan and I both watch (and share the cost of) the Netflix movies and only get one at a time so try to get the very newest ones (I have "Fool's Gold" here now to watch, and we recently saw "National Treasure: Book of Secrets", "Mad Money", "Enchantment" (I loved that!!), "P.S. I Love You", "Over Her Dead Body," "27 Dresses", etc. Did you see any of those?).
We have different tastes, though, so sometimes I have to be careful what I order!!
And I definitely want to read a book before I see the movie because the book is always better and also explains many things in the movie. That will be the case with "Angels and Demons" as it was with "The DaVinci Code", "The Notebook", and others.
So what are your favorite TV shows? Many I was enjoying ended the end of May, and I can't get into some of the reality shows that are on for the summer. I do watch a few, though. My favorites are "Dancing With the Stars", am watching "Nashville Star" because I've always been a fan of the host, Billy Ray Cyrus (!!!), "The Bachelorette", "American Idol", the new "America's Got Talent" has some amazing performers, etc. -- and in normal dramas which aren't on now: "Boston Legal", "Private Practice", liked "New Amsterdam" but haven't seen that it's coming back, "Psych", was upset when "Las Vegas" was cancelled, etc. I also like the daytime news and talk shows such as Good Morning America, Regis and Kelly, Rachael Ray, The View, Ellen, Oprah once in awhile (don't like her depressing segments) -- those I have on and can barely see the TV from my computer so will work on the computer and just go nearer the TV when an especially interesting segment comes on!!! Or I'll listen as I do chores or eat and then go to see the special parts or guests.
I didn't actually recommend the movie "Tomorrow is Forever". Someone else read the book and I mentioned there was a movie of the same name. I have not seen it as yet but put it on my Netflix list. Let me know what you think of "Fool's Gold". It is on my list but I'm in no hurry to get it. Sometimes I move things up on my list in order to get them quicker. If I put something in the mail on Sat. they usually get it back on Monday and then on Monday afternoon they send out the new release for Tues. I know what movies come out so I just move them up to the top. Right now I have "There Will Be Blood" and a mini-series on John Adams to watch. I too like to read the book first before seeing the movie. Sometimes I see the movie first because I'm not aware that it's based on a book.
I have too many favorite tv shows. I love Bones, House, Grey's Anatomy, The Closer, Kyle XY, 24, and for reality I like Am. Idol, Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and a bunch of other tv shows. I don't like talk shows and I'm really sick of Oprah.
You should join "Golden Girls Talking". We talk about everything there not just books.
Well, I need to get to some more messages and then go mow the lawn.
Talk to you later.
