I'm still working on FEARLESS FOURTEEN (Janet Evanovich's new book) -- don't have time to read much at one sitting, but I'm enjoying reading it slowly and "savoring" it!!! I always adore all the crazy characters in her books!!!
I don't think you're cheap - you're THRIFTY!!! If I could keep up with reading books from the library, I would go that route, too, because I am very budget conscious. However, since I know my time limitations, I just find myself buying or collecting (some from the small library in our community where we can take books for any length of time and then return them "eventually") ones I want to read -- and they stack up. But at least I know they are there waiting for me when I'm ready!!
Then I got into Book Talk and have a long list of other ones I want to read!!! I better have a lot of years ahead of me so that I can get to most of them, I hope!!!!!
I'll have to check out the one remaining good used book store about 20 minutes away for some of the recommended books because I couldn't find them online (or they were too expensive for older books). Since that store sells them for half price, they aren't really reasonable, either. I wish we had one of those $1.00 bargain books stores that some of the gals have talked about -- then I'd really go crazy!!!
Gee, now you have me anxious to read Nights in Rodanthe!! I have several of his unread that are waiting for me.
Two of my very favorite books by Nicholas Sparks are The Rescue and Bend in the Road. Wow! What feeling!
