Sounds like you both need to work on this marriage. The grass is NOT often greener, so be careful not to end what could be a a beautiful marriage.

Well it is not just loss of interest for me as much as loss of focus.
When someone loses their cognitive powers with age and picks and chooses random memories to recreate a different story than the one you lived, it makes it hard to say you have a shared history.
If you are both pulling from a different story, then do you have a marriage? The person is different than the person that you married, of course. We all change. But when the past is respun in their minds there is no commonality at all.
I was prepared for ailments and staying by his side "till death do you part" but the mental thing is beyond me.
