Welcome aboard Inart,What is your main focus and interest in woodworking? Are you into crafts and smaller projects or larger items like shelving units or furniture? If you have some pictures of your work maybe you could share them with us. It’s always interesting to see who is doing what. This gives us an idea as to who we can go to for new ideas on a project or as advice on a project we may be preparing to work on.Again Welcome Aboard!
Hello Terrythe Carver; I was reinspired back into woodworking after a long hiatus when I took a college course in 3-D Design in order to satisfy a requirement towards a degree. I had sculpted a piece to complete an assignment and the feedback was more than I expected. Before that I dabbled in furniture refinishing. I've always enjoyed working with wood and was introduced to it in Jr. High about one hundred years ago.
My primary area of focus is on Quality in whatever project I find myself involved with; from design concept to finished product. Currently I have been making a series of hat/coat trees, an easy project which seemed to take off by word of mouth, and I am in the middle of completing three previous orders so far.
Lately I have been thinking about making doll houses for my granddaughters who will be old enough to appreciate them by the time I get around to actually completing one. I think I'll keep the first one around so that they can have something to do when they visit. If they like it enough, I'll build them some more.
I do not have a scanner yet so I'm not able to post any pictures of my work until I can set that up. When I do, I'll be happy to post some pics on what is on my shop table as I go along, including the current projects I'm doing now.
Thanks for your interest.
