How many of you folks have your own woodworking shop, outfitted with the tools you like and want, and have enough room to build any project that you desire?
I ask this because I am putting together a business plan for a woodworking center for the hobbiest/semi-professional woodworker that either doesn't have the space, the money for the "proper" tools, or doesn't want to make the investment for a "part-time" occupation. Does this sound like a feasible idea to you? If you had the choice between outfitting your own shop, or paying an annual membership fee to a place that had everything already, which do you think you would do? And for those who just enjoy woodworking and don't have a shop to work in, is this something that would interest you as well?
All comments, good, bad, or indifferent (who's ever heard of an indifferent woodworker?) would be appreciated. I don't want to sink a small fortune into something that doesn't generate enough interest, or would bring in enough membership to pay the light bill.
Thanks. I look forward to hearing from you.
