Tuscany is delightful. The landscape, the views, the architecture, the history.... oh, yes, and the food. The realy magic is beyond the big town and in exploring the "hamlets" and small villages. Since it's become such a tourist mecca, the quaintness of it seems to be a bit reduced by the hoards of tourists.
Are there specific small villages you would recommend? Where would you recommend to stay? I'm planning my itinerary for the Spring and I haven't figured out the lodgin for florence or tuscany area. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
