Is anyone doing the low carb diet? I try it for a while and I do well and then I get bored. I have been successful with WW in the past also. I am 66 and still working as a psychiatric RN (working with adolescents) so I need my energy. Any suggestions? I am not into cooking anymore but I used to be a good cook. I have been divorced for one year but that is another story
After being diagnosed with Type II diabetes (early stages), I started cutting back on carbs. I've severely reduced my intake of pasta, rice, and potatoes, but bread remains a problem. I limit myself to four sandwiches a week and toast with breakfast. I've found that crackers relieve my carb craving and are much lower in carbs than most other sources. Fortunately, sweets aren't my downfall. In any event, portion control seems to be the only compromise.
