At the urging of my oldest sister (73), I went to see the Meryl Streep movie "It's Complicated." I found the story funny and sad, and I am sure lots of divorced folks go through similar situations.
Afterwards I stopped by Walmart to pick up a few food items and bumped into a man I had a relationship with 10 years ago. We hugged and talked about 5 minutes, and he complimented me on how good I looked. He wanted my address and phone number, and I thought it was innocent like a friendship thing and wrote it down. Then, I said, "Why do you want this?" He said, "Because I want to see you." I reminded him that he is married, and I wouldn't do that." He insisted he could probably talk me into it. Ugh!
I smiled and went on about my shopping. I said a little prayer as I left the store and headed for my car..."Thank you, Lord, that I don't have a husband like that."
I don't have anyone and have rarely dated since he and I split amicably 10 years ago, but I would never, never date a married man!
