I just had to reply to your post. No one should EVER have to be typing a message to themselves! Right?
I am donnao65, and I read these posts only once in awhile. My wonderful husband, Terry died of stroke and colon cancer in Aug. '08. I still miss him terribly, but I have the comfort of knowing that I will see him again someday when it is the right time.
I never was an animal lover so much, but since I have moved into my daughter's home (they built a beautiful apartment onto their home for us...) Terry never got to see it completed. Anyway, since I have moved in here I have fallen in love with their cat named Henry, and I think the feeling is mutual! Every night after dinner, I get ready for bed and get comfortable in my recliner to watch T.V., and as soon as I sit down, he in on my lap. He nudges me to pet him in certain areas. His favorite is his tummy, and under his chin. He won't budge from my lap until I say it is time to go to bed, and he gets right down, and goes to his bed. He wakes me up every a.m. too, to come out of my bedroom, and feed him! Isn't the Lord great to give us these small creatures to love us and keep us company?
Have a great evening, and God Bless you!

TY for replying to my post and saving me from chatting with myself online as well as off,,,lol,,,my dogs never answer me,,in fact, they ignore me more often than not,,,lol
I'm sorry to hear of your loss,,,Michael has been gone 14 yrs this july and I still miss him! will never stop missing him.
I now have 12 dogs of my own, 7 cats, and am fostering a family of 4 male pups and mama. I've decided that if the agency I foster for can help me adopt out some of my latest rescues I'm going to let them,,,it's going to take me a long time to get the land needed for such a pack so I have to give some up--sigh
