Hi Diane! Oooops, sorry about the 36 hours! I sometimes misread stuff (oh oh) That date you mentioned; 4/18/ is Pizza's birthday. I was just telling Norm we have to get a larger picture of him to put in our profile. Did you ever look into parrotlets? I have always loved parakeets tho; the small ones. We started out with them and parrotlets are average 29 grams. PizzaPete got up to 33 grams and that's pretty large for a parrotlet. We lived in Hawaii for 10 years, brought a parrotlet into the state, vet turned us in so we had to move back to CA. I don't know about That being so great about moving 'home' because I still wish we were in Hawaii but nobody and I mean nobody is going to euthenate (sp?) My birdie! Oh, your horses sounded so wonderful and sorry you can have them now. I can't even imagine how beautiful it must have been riding around the Perceido (I'm going to be awful about spelling with out my spell check but you know what I mean...lolol) on a horse...we both know how beautiful it is there overlooking the bay and bridge...lucky you. I have two wonderful e mail friends in Plano and Newerk but that's pretty far from you, huh>
Well, good luck on sexing your guys but if it's a boy and a girl, watch out...lolol Gosh, there are so many stories I could tell you and will but right now have to run and get Norm a nice warm towel out of the dryer. See you soon! Gae
So far so good. they are both doing GREAT. Had one out today and it was flying around a bit. One is just so friendly and the other is still leery. Any advice on helping this one to trust and like me? I am enjoying them very much. I still don't know their birth date but I figure it's around the 1st of April. They were only a couple of weeks on 4/18, so....
Interesting that was yourPizza's birthday. No I didn't look inot parralets. I think I'm going to have my hands full with these two.
Gypsy Halo has brought me two baby birds - one died as it was tiny and had fallen from it's nest. The one tonight is bigger but I don't know how to help a wild bird..... I made it as comfortable and safe as I can. I'm sure it's going to die too but at least it's safe and warm tonight.
Loved living on Ft Mason and working on the Presidio. It was super riding all over the place including going down to the o ocean. The horses had never seen waves before!
Not in OH anymore but am home in Texas now. Newark is one of the places we went to often. Plano had a great Amish restuarant and we would go there too. We drove all over OH. Texas is so big though and we are pretty much staying home right now with the birds and dogs. Been busy with my Mom too - doctor appts, sonograms of the heart, eye glasses, driver's license renewal..... it is ongoing but I'm here for her.
You take care. So far, all is goiing well with my two new babies.
