Be careful traveling on the way here. There are lots of things to do in all the parks and you can also go to other parks for their activities. We are going to a bluegrass show next week at Fiesta which is another park in Mission and the Link Family (bluegrass) is going to be at our park on the 20th. There are dances, bingo, special performances by entertainers, weekly pancake suppers, etc. at all the parks from Mission to Brownsville. We also are going back to the Gladys Porter zoo in Brownsville this year as it is really amazing and they have a lot of new baby animals. We still don't bother to go into Mexico as there is much unrest with drugs, etc. down there so we just avoid it. There are also many produce stands and flea markets that are large and very active in the area. The best we think is in Donna which is by Weslaco where we stayed last year. They are open Wednesday, Friday and the week-end. There is a weekly paper that is free called the Winter Texas that shows all the activities in various parks for each week. It is very good and can really keep you busy if you want to try and make it to something every day!!!
Have a very good trip and just want to let you know it is 8:50 a.m. here and the sun is out and not a clooud in the sky. Suppose to be in the high 60's and sunny all day.
Safe traveling and Hapy 2010.
Well it's 9:07 a. m. here and snowing like crazy out! LOL It's only 11 above outside and wind chill of -3! Not suppose to get above 15 all next week up here in NW MO!
Sounds like lots to do if a person wants to keep busy. Thanks for all the info. I'm so ready to head that way! LOL
