Years ago I lived in a 26' Dodge Class C year round for six years, and it was the best six years ever. I'm between RVs right now, but I hope to be on the road again soon, because... I once spent a couple of days in Yellowstone, then left and drove late into the night. I pulled into a dark, empty parking area on the side of the road (I didn't know where I was) and went to sleep.
At dawn I awoke, looked out the window, and I was there. I was in the very spot where so many pictures of the Grand Tetons have been taken. The air was crisp, and the sun lit just the tips of the Tetons as I stumbled out of the motorhome and stood -- enraptured.
You just don't get mornings like that in a house. Have you had a special morning while RVing?
Hi, I totally relate to your experience! When my parents to buy a new motorhome, my husband and I drove out to Colorado and bought the one I grew up with. We decided to take both RVs to Rocky Mountain National Park and spend a few days. My husband had never been to Colorado before and even though he is totally blind, he could take in the entire atmosphere. Each morning, we would wake up to elk grazing around the RVs, close enough he could hear their breathing. He never understood how I could love beingin the mountains, listening to nothing but the wind in the pines, the creeks, the popping of a campfire. My parents and the two of us would sit outside each morning, taking in these sounds and admiring the elk. My husband had to admit that he finally understood what I was talking about and he gained a new peace being in the Rockies. www.aarp.org/community/editor/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/regular_smile.gif" />
