USES FOR "SWIM NOODLES"
I was walking through my local Wal Mart and saw a big box of those 6 ft. foam swim noodles marked down to $1.00. As I passed on by it suddenly it hit me 6ft hollow foam tubes for $1.00, AHAH! cheap pipe insulation. Now my outside pipes are cozily tucked in their bright yellow, blue, green, pink, and lavender pipe wrap for the winter.
Another one got split into 1/8 slices and now happily fills the crack at the bottom of a couple of my windows that don't lock down tight enough to block out all the cold air.
More are cut in 2 ft sections and split in half and are now glued to my dog house walls and floor under his bedding to provide waterproof/bugproof/hose it down insulation for Jacob's house. Added heavy plastic overlaping 8" strips to his door and a metal shoplight with a 40 watt incadesent bulb to the roof peak and it is nice and toasty warm in there for winter. For now it is plenty warm without the light on just from his body heat and insulation.
