I have sheer Roman blinds under the curtains on my windows and cats that love to sun themselve on the window sills. Not a great combination! I have a lot of trouble with the cats jumping in the window and pulling the cords that raise the blinds loose from where they are anchored to the sheer fabric. After resewing them several times I was considering replacing them with some other kind of panels. In desperation I used one of those daisy headed push pins to anchor a cord to the wooden strip at the bottom of the blind.
It worked so well that I now use a row of decorative push pins across the bottom of all my blinds. They hold so much better than stitching to that flimsy fabric, don't show from inside the house, and by using several evenly spaced across the bottom look like an intended decorative element from the outside.
