You can save money and dodge the Medicare drug coverage gap. AARP's new Doughnut Hole Calculator will help you see if your are nearing the dreaded Medicare Part D doughnut hole and find less expensive, therapeutically similar drugs.
All you need to do is enter your zip code, your Part D drug plan, and the drugs you are currently taking. The calculator will show you how much you will pay month by month for your drugs. The good part is that you can then see if other drugs are available that cost less. If so, you can then print out a letter to take to your doctor so you can talk about how you could lower your drug costs--and stay out of the doughnut hole.
You can also print out a wallet card that lists all the drugs you currently are taking. The card makes it easier to keep track, especially if you have several prescriptions from more than one doctor.
Try it out and let me know what you think about the calculator. How much can you save?
If you don't like socialism then you probably don't like the military, the police and the fire department.
Soldiers, police officers and firefighters work for the government and offer services that you don't pay for directly but you pay through your taxes.
Oh right, you don't want such programs that help the poor, or disabled or elderly. Right.
If you go to Antarctica and live there, you'll have no taxes to pay and won't have any poor people and no welfare recipients to complain about.
