Excellent question - I am going to call my local grocery store and see what they say. Will let you know.
I have always assumed that I can use a coupon on the day it says it expires. I only had one clerk try to deny me the use of the coupon that day, but she checked with her supervisor, who said, yes, it was still good. We have some stores here (won't name names) that will take coupons that are slightly expired, while others, like Walmart check their coupons like hawks. I always said perhaps the clerks there had to pay for the coupons themselves, ha ha. It one tried to use the coupon on a wrong size, or wrong variety of something, forget it. I have had to point out sometimes that the coupon says "any size" or 12 oz. or LARGER, in order to use the coupon. Then for a while they did not want to take computer coupons because someone told them they were fakes. Very frustrating at times.
