My ex used to cook butts on the grill all day and they were so good. I don't have the proper grill nor the patience for the all day tending and basitng so it's nice to have an alternative. I wonder if adding a bit of liquid smoke to the wet ingredients would give it a little of the smoke flavor, or would that just be overkill ? Maybe I"ll try it and let ya know how it turns out.
I have bought Hickory Smoke flavored Bar B Que sauce, that might do it?/
