1 (4 to 5 pound) Roast Beef
1 Envelope of Onion Soup Mix
1 Cup of Ketchup
1 (12 ounce) bottle or can of Beer
Put the beer, ketchup and onion soup mix into your Crock Pot, and mix well. Add your piece of Roast to the Crock Pot, set the cooker to Automatic or High (if not automatie setting) cover and cook for 7 hours or till you can shred meat with two forks. Serve on Crusty Rolls and enjoy!!
** If you don't have a Crock Pot this recipe can also be made on the stove top, in a large dutch oven pot. Just make sure that you keep an eye on it so that the meat does not stick to the bottom of the pot!
My family simply loves this recipe, in fact my daughter in law makes it at least once a week!! There is never a bit of food left after making this recipe in my home.
dear Prowash, don't you just love crock pots, especially in the summer. Your recipe is a keeper. If you don't mind I'm adding liquid smoke and use BBQ sauce (Cookies). Thanks,
