I goofed on a recipe once, and added sweetened condensed milk to a recipe instead of evaporated. It was wonderful and is now an oft requested recipe among my family. It is kind of like a chile rellano quiche. I serve it with a pico d'gallo and some tortilla chips on the side.
You have got to be joking? A sweet chile rellano quiche? Topped with pico d'gallo? Tortilla chips on the side? Wow, my hat is off to you. I think you win the prize for the biggest mistake.
I don't know...let me think...oh yea, I made a cheesecake about 3 years ago and I reached up into my cubbord for the bottle and added 1 tablespoon of vanilla. It wasn't until I had served the cheesecake to 5 of my guests that I realized instead of using vanilla I used soy sauce. They spit and sputtered and carried on something awful. But I must say in my defense it wasn't too bad. Of course, that's cheesecake for you, even when it's bad it ain't REAL bad.
