24 Hour Salad:
10 oz. frozen peas, 1/4 lb. or less diced bacon, 1stalk celery diced, 1 small onion diced, 1/2 green pepper diced, lettuce cut into 1/2 strips, 1 to 1 1/2 cps. mayonnaise, 1 tsp. sugar, parmesan cheese, and shredded cheddar cheese or the cheese of your choice.
Cook peas on top of the stove using 1/4 cp. water or put in microwave using 1-2 tbl. water and cook until tender...drain and cool; Cook Bacon in frying pan until crisp and drain and cool, or cook in microwave until crisp, cool and cruble..set aside; meanwhile mix mayonnaise and sugar and set aside. Place lettuce in a salad bowl, top with peas, then the celery, onions, & green pepper. Spoon on mayonnaise mixture, and top with cheeses and crumbled bacon...cover the bowl with saran wrap or plastic cover ...refrigerate for 24 hours..Serve with your favorite side...steak, chicken, porkchop what ever your choice is and enjoy!
