Approx. 1 stack of saltine crackers, 2 sticks of butter melted, 1 cp. sugar, 1 large bag semi-sweet choc. chips ( use 1/2 bag) 1/2 cp. chpd nuts..
Preheat oven to 400o ..line large cookie sheet with foil...butter foil...line with saltines close together...add suar to melted butter & simmer for 3 min. ..pour over saltines spreading to cover all...Bake 5 min. take out & ..immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips spreading evenly, adding the chpd. nuts...Refridgerate overnite..peel off foil and break candy into peices....keep in fridge in tin for 2-3 weeks.
Note: My sisiter who got the recipe from me...makes these every Christmas, puts them in a container and gifts to relatives and friends...I have left them out in the container in a cool room and they don't start to melt..these are delicious...you can't stay away from them..try them ...you'll agree!
