I really love "nature's art". But I have so much trouble taking care of them even with nursery instructions. I need to go a nice healthy tree for my bedroom, which I am doing over in a asian motif. Any tips from where to buy, growing, recommended planters. I know that I can get this online; but I have to hear from people that have actually grown and successfully taken care of these beautiful plants. A reputable website will help too. Thanks everyone in advance.
Reo, a ficus tree is very easy to take care of and would look wonderful in your room with the asian motiff. You should place it in front of or right next to a window and water it well once a week. Get some miracle grow and mix about a half a teaspoon to a gallon of water and use that once a month to feed it. In the winter, if you live in a very cold climate, make sure the leaves are not touching the window so that they won't get frost bitten. And if it's drafty, move them back away from the draft. Also, don't let a heat source blow right on them.
You can find these at Home Depot or Lowes or any nursery.
