i swear i think the whole problem with so much weight gain in this country is the hidden stuff in our foods; not the food we choose even that is filled with the things we know are there and not particularly good for us.
just like cigarettes; they keep adding unacknowledged substances. i don't even trust all "organic" foods to be what they say they are.
I agree with you about not trusting food. I am so careful about what I buy now. I read Jillian Michaels' book, "Mastering Your Metabolism," and she tells you the foods to avoid all togehter and those that are better. She is a big fan of organic because it seems to have the least amount of things that our body doesn't recognize as food.
Even Dr. Oz, on his new show, has been saying this now. When our bodies intake a preservatiave that is not food, the body doesn't recognize it as food and does all sorts of crazy things. The worst of it is to mess up our homonal balance and make us more hungry, causing obesity and belly fat.
I was very leary after I read Jillian's book about organic, but I think she is on to something. The junk in our food is only there because it is cheap and helping the producers make money. It really has nothing to do with nutrition.
I have lost only one size so far, but I'm grateful for that. I just need to get motivated to exercise more and regularly.
Sending you love and light...
