Not sure if admitting this is a good thing or not, but I can still sing it - every word! And, also, the sequel, "It's Judy's Turn to Cry!" Those songs were about a kind of shallow relationship, but it was also about young teens, too.
Thre were a lot of girl groups back then, and the songs may be labeled as silly, but they were eminently singable and they were all about the kids of that era. THose of us who lived thruogh that time can probably stil remember lots of the words to most of them. How about, "I Will Follow Him" by Little Peggy March, who was only 4'10" and 14 when she recordedd that song? Ayone remember that one?
These Eighth Grade girls render an excellent performance of "It's My Party."
