My podiatrist recently prescribed Metanx indicating it is a food supplement or "medical food" for foot pain. It is expensive (more than $60 a month) and not on my Medicare part D formulary. I've been taking the samples he gave me for just over a week with the only change being a possible elevation in my fasting readings. Are there others with an opinion on this?
Has anyone had side effects - specifically did your blood sugar go up when taking this?
