In Response to RE: What is Your Rise in Blood Glucose During Sleep? by luckylady02
Excuse me, but you seem to have misunderstood the question because you did not answer it. As part of a poll, I want to know the value in mg/dl that represents specifically your rise in blood glucose during sleep. I don't need to be lectured to about what it means, as was clearly indicated by the fact that I posted a link that explained what it means.
Incidentally, the hormone that is mainly responsible for the Somogyi effect is glucagen, see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glucagon. Elderly people are typically deficient in growth hormone therefore I doubt that it has much influence in the elderly.
