Bread is the enemy -- unless it's whole grain! I know it's hard for people to give up bread completely, but at least try switching to whole grain. It's actually quite tasty -- and it has so many health benefits.
You might be waking up hungry if you're eating a high-sugar meal before bed. Your insulin levels will spike, and you'll be hungry in a few hours. You might want to try low-fat cottage cheese or a small plain greek yogurt before bed and see if that gets rid of the hunger. Let me know!
